Below is the story of Misty who was adopted by Belinda Wilkins.
I should just point out that this was an adoption from a private individual to a private individual who were connected via our group. I know that members do flag concerns about this as obviously none of us want to see cats or kittens end up in the wrong hands. But stories like this just go to show that if both parties are careful and do their due diligence it can work resulting in a happy ending for everyone.
Hi Flavia, I posted on your site looking for an older kitten or adult cat and a lady pm’d me and offered me her cat to rehome. She felt she wasnt looking after her properly and felt it was time to find her another home. She was very stressed and thin, and she was pulling her hair out. It broke my heart when I saw her, but I knew I had to have her. I’m grateful to her as she recognised she wasn’t looking after her properly and gave her a chance of a forever home. The adoption was free. The vet has given her tablets to calm her skin and her fur is growing back. We’ve only had her for a few days but with love and care she has blossomed.Thank for your site without it we would never have found Misty xx
